1. Why has the government take over some U.S. firms?
-The government has taken over some U.S. firms because the nation is in an economic crisis.

2. What firms has the U.S. taken over?
-The U.S. has taken over some firms such as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac insurance companies as well as the insurance giant, AIG.

3. What is a bailout?
-A bailout is the government giving money to certain companies to kepp them from failing.

4. Why does David Walker have doubts about the bailout?
-David Walker does have doubts about the bailout because he believes the government does not have the "core competency" to run AIG. He believes the government neds to "focus on what needs to get done" to get the economy to get back on track.

5. What did Daniel Mitchell say about the bailout?
-Daniel Mitchell says the government os making responsible decisions about how to run the firms but does not approve the bailout.

1. Do you think it is a good idea for the government to take over and run some U.S. firms? Why or why not?
-I believe that the government should take over certain firms that have a large impact on socitey, such as insurance companies, healthcare providers, and banks. When one opens a business, owners take the responsibility if the outcomes when a situation like today's economy happens.

2. Would you agree with Daniel Mitchell that the government officals are "doing their wrong thing in the best way possible?" Why or why not?
-I disagree with Daniel Mitchell because I think that the government is still doing the wrong thing just not in the best way possible.
